The Elegy blogpost

My opinion is that this Elegy becomes more depressing over time. This Elegy describes the grief of gods as well as humans. "No less was Venus stunned by her Tibullus's death." (line 15) This shows that even the gods grieved over Tibullus's death. His death also had an effect on all of troy. "May earth not lie heavy on you ashes." (line 68)
