Oedipus the King

1.) A.) There was a forshadowing that "But when I count the days - the time he's been away - I now worry what he's doing. For he's been gone to long,well past the time he should have taken" (72) B.) It tells of how Oedipus had gotten a bad feeling of how it was taking his brother so long to retur.

2.) A.) Then there was also " They all died - except for one who was afraid and ran away. There was only one thing he could inform us of with confidence about the things he say" (140) (b) This tells of how they wanted to kill the men that had killed his friend.

3.) A.) "While you are ruling now it is better to be ruling of men than a land of desert" (60). b.) This shows that it is better to be able to controle and know the people in the city than it is to just be a ruler.
