Lost Bet

In 2008, I was 12 years when I thought the Packers were going to beat Giants in the NFC championship game. I was so confident that the Packers were going to beat them I bet one of my friends who was a big Giants fan $50 that the Packers were going to win. I told everyone at school Packers were going to kill the Giants in that game. He was getting really annoyed at me and so were a few other kids. Even Sportscenter said the Packers were going to win by a lot. Every was going my way until that dreadful fourth quarter and when the game was over and the Giants had beaten the Packers in overtime. I was completely stunned and upset that I had lost $50. I couldn't believe and to make matters worse my friend called me up after the game and told me I owe him $50. I was almost crying afterwards. Later that day I had to ask my parents for $10 because I had only $40 on me and I needed 10 more. When I told about the bet, they got pissed off at me and was even more upset. The next day at school I was embarrassed and my friends were making jokes about me being dome and accepting a bet I should have never accepted. Other kids who knew about the bet did the same thing. I was angry, upset, and embarrassed for the next week. Then, I also made a bet the Giants would win the Super Bowl with the same guy who I made the Packers bet with. He also loves the Patriots and he wanted them to go undefeated. Even though he likes the Giants he wanted the Patriots much more. The bet was five dollars and I won it so I felt much better. I have supported the Giants since then and he made me a Giants fan.
